The Academy is a private training organization and the qualifications offered are nationally and internationally recognized in the wedding industry. Formal qualifications are not required to become a wedding planner, but studying with an industry-recognized company like Wedding Academy will not only equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to be successful, but will also give your prospective clients the confidence to that they hire a professional.
Floral design is a method of using fresh flowers as a key element in the style of your event. Our course will introduce you to traditional and modern techniques that will enable you to design and create your own fresh floral centerpieces, installation pieces, bridal bouquets, as well as ideas for using flowers in other decorative ways at an event.
This course includes video tutorials and demos so you can follow and practice your floral skills at home. This course has a hands-on component, which means you will need to buy flowers to complete your designs. Our certification task also requires you to put what you have learned into practice.
Yes, as you progress through your course you will need to complete worksheets which will be part of your final certification assignment. Once you've reached the point where you're ready to put into practice everything you've learned, you'll be assigned a mentor to help you complete your certification. You will then receive your certificate and digital badge and will be an officially certified wedding planner and stylist.
All of our courses are online, giving you the flexibility to study anywhere and at a time that suits you best. This allows you to really customize your course to suit your lifestyle. Many of our students study alongside a full-time job and/or take care of a family. You have up to a year to complete your course, although it can be completed in as little as 12 weeks if you have to devote more hours per week to study.
No. No prior floral knowledge is required for this course. We give you the concepts of how to deal with fresh flowers: how to get them, work with them and prepare them. For each of the main floral techniques, we provide you with step-by-step video tutorials with detailed comments.
